Guidance, not professional advice
Information about kundli, kundli matching, muhurat, doshas and their remedies comes from the classical tradition. It is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. For any problem with your health, money, legal matters or state of mind, consult a qualified professional, and do not let astrology delay that.
How we calculate
Planet positions come from NASA JPL astronomical data with the Lahiri ayanamsa. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana and muhurat are worked out from each city's own sunrise.
Because methods, ayanamsa and the definition of sunrise differ, our times may differ by a few minutes from other panchangs. Where the exact minute matters, please also confirm with your pandit or family priest.
Regional traditions vary
Across India, the rules for fixing festival and vrat dates, the way months are counted (purnimanta or amanta) and the way pujas are performed can differ. For festivals we follow the Dharmasindhu and Nirnayasindhu tradition. If your family or region follows a different tradition, follow that.
Kundli and kundli milan
A kundli is only as accurate as the birth time and place it is made from; even a few minutes can change the lagna and the dasha periods. Guna milan is only one traditional factor in a marriage decision. Decisions like these should rest with families and the people involved.
Aartis, mantras and kathas
Aartis, mantras and kathas are given as they are commonly sung and recited. The wording can vary a little between regions and families.
