Tadhpatra
Our Story
Tadhpatra is named after the palm leaves on which panchangs and astrological texts were written for centuries. We want to carry that tradition forward, accurate and open to everyone, with today's technology.
What we do
Daily panchang for 63 Indian cities, festival and Ekadashi dates, shubh muhurat, choghadiya, a free birth chart and kundli matching, and aartis, mantras and vrat kathas, in Hindi and English.
How we calculate
Planet positions come from NASA JPL's astronomical data (DE421) with the Lahiri ayanamsa, the standard of the Indian government's national calendar. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are taken from each city's own sunrise, and the festival rules follow the Dharmasindhu and Nirnayasindhu tradition. Our results are regularly checked against established panchangs such as Drik Panchang.
Your privacy
Kundli and kundli matching are calculated on your own phone or computer. Your date, time and place of birth never reach us unless you share the link yourself.
Our approach
Astrology is guidance from tradition, not a reason for fear. With every dosha we also give its traditional remedies, and we leave big decisions to families and the people involved.
